Just to confirm that, against what I originally said, 333006 has returned to traffic, still in 'old' livery...so that's one fewer EMUs done and another to add to the 'to vinyl' list!

Yep, if you can/will keep on top of that, then good; that's the best way...

...we might also be aiming for a record number of 'edits' as well?

158850 freshly-outshopped in Northern livery; working Selby - Bradford - Huddersfield - Wakefields today if anyone's interested, eg. 12:04 arrival from Wakey in Hudd.; just seen her and looks fantastic - really nice and shiny still!

Were my eyes deceiving me in the rain tonight, or did I see a silver Alphaline 158 complete with Northern local advertising swooshes on each carriage? This was about 21:30 at Conisbrough heading toward Doncaster from Sheffield.

IE. Alphaline's base silvery-livery, with the pictorial stickers?

EDIT: Posted before actually getting to the point!

Either way, did the pictures look remotely like those on 158855 - my guess is that it was 'Skimbleshanks' you saw (aka. "Exmoor Explorer") and anything like these pics?:
http://britishrailpics.fpic.co.uk/search.php?txt=158855&t=p

That's my only guess

Yes, that's it... I've not seen it before has it been around for a while? I can't imagine Northern would go to the trouble of tarting it up like that rather than wait for the full repaint.

Reports (John A on mueg group) that 158861 may have been done at NL and released to traffic today (should be stabled at Hull now), with 158843 underway at NH.

Yes its been a busy little bee eaning its paint hasn't it plus folowed me arround a bit on Saturday too.

I was going to try and get a photo of it a St.helens Ctl but it poored down with rain typical !

I wrekon the next ones of the Merseyrail batch to be painted will be :-

142054,055,056,057,and 142058 when repaired

Shurley then all the 142's would have been re-painte d or are there still some in Arriva Livery.

About half the ex-Arriva fleet is still in Arriva livery, and doesn't actually look that bad!
