The repossesion of the 66s should be taken as read, there have been a number of reports of the trains being driven by GBRf staff, contracted to return the locos to Porterbrook.

Advenza have been booked in the High Court on quite a few occasions over the last two years, but have always been able to pay off the revenue's outstanding bill just before the hearing.

Doesn't look to good this time though...

I can see Advenza's Class 66 loco's being sold off to help pay their debt, but I cannot see anyone accept perhaps GBRF buying them?

Advenza were leasing the Class 66s, which have been returned to Porterbrook. 47237, 47828, 57005 and 57006 are now in the hands of liquidators and will be sold off to pay Advenza's various unpaid bills. I can see Harry Needle and DRS getting their chequebooks out.

Quick question please Rich, have you got some inside information on this?

When I did some searching on the web later on last week, it was easy enough to discover the High Court appointment listed for Wednesday, to respond to HMRC's winding up petition, but as far as I could find out, there doesn't seem to be anything that formally announces the result of the case?

Is the fact that Advenza were still on the 'winding up list' at the end of Wednesday's proceedings taken to mean that they were definitely wound up, or is there another stage to the proceedings? I know that on previous occasions they have escaped 'in the nick of time', I wonder if in those cases that meant they came off the list just before the booked appearance?

With respect, I think everyone has 'heard they have been wound up'. I was asking Rich about quotable facts...

The chaps over at WNXX.com are reporting that Colas have taken on two of the Advenza 66s. Does that imply Colas have taken over some of the Advenza freight contracts?

Possibly, however Colas may need those 66s for High Output Ballast Cleaner contract they just got from NR.

Saw 66841 sitting outside Eastleigh works this afternoon in Colas livery. Looked pretty smart, heard it was just finished this morning? 66842 is inside in a rubbed down condition apparently.
